Bruce Guthro – Celtic X-mas Tour 2019

Runrig has officially retired - but fortunately, Bruce Guthro hasn't!

The Canadian was the lead singer of Runrig for 20 years, who called it quits in 2018. But Bruce Guthro has not slowed down since.

When we light the last Christmas candles of this century, it will also be time to light up the Celtic Christmas spirit. After a break in 2018, Bruce Guthro is back in Europe with his band and a number of joyous Christmas concerts which entail multiple traditions at once: Gripping stories, beautiful Celtic tunes, a great sense of community and sold-out shows all over the country.

For the first time ever on the Celtic X-mas Tour, Bruce Guthro will introduce a number of songs from Runrig's great, popular repertoire. The audience can look forward to a concert with legendary memories from Guthro's time with Runrig beautifully intertwined with his own original songs along with Irish classics and English Christmas carols.

On stage is also this time Róisín Ryan whose unique voice both mesmerizes you and sets emotions free. She is a central part of a strong international 6-piece orchestra, who for a couple of hours will share a true Celtic Christmas spirit with the audience. As the traditions holds, Bruce Guthro will tell all about his own Christmasses in Nova Scotia and the extraordinary and unique existences there.
